On 21 May 2025, SCOPAC hosted a webinar led by Mark Stratton & Alex Hillawi of Coastal Partners who presented the findings of the SCOPAC Heritage at risk study that examines the implications of managing heritage assets on the coast in relation to FCERM schemes and over-stretched local authority maintenance budgets.

It is hoped that by highlighting the scale of the challenge, a more sustainable solution can be found to help preserve coastal heritage assets for future generations whilst achieving a better balance with wider FCERM priorities.
