Rob Thomas (BCP Council, formerly Dorset Council) and Alan Frampton (BCP Council) present their latest steel sheet pile research, exploring some of the challenges posed with using steel sheet piles in the marine environment and comparing with concrete/masonry walls, drawing on experience in Weymouth Harbour.

Their findings will be of interest to other coastal engineers across the SCOPAC region who may be considering steel sheet piles in scheme design.
