As a valued stakeholder, BCP Council and New Forest District Council, along with our project partners at the Environment Agency and AECOM, would like to invite you to learn more about a new coastal strategy that will guide how the risks of coastal flooding and erosion may be sustainably managed for the next 100 years. And what happens if we don’t defend our coast?

The Strategy area covers from Hengistbury Head Long Groyne to Hurst Spit, encompassing Christchurch Harbour, up to the tidal extents at Knapp Mill and Tuckton Bridge. Once adopted, the Strategy will help us to bid for (and is subject to) government funding for coastal protection schemes.
